We only have the present moment. How will you live it?
The Women and the Waves 2 is a documentary surf film that celebrates women and their unique approach to surfing and life. The film looks at the state of surfing today from a feminine perspective and features positive role models who give back to people and the planet. Ultimately, the film is a portrayal that a life filled with gratitude for one another and the world we live in, is a life well lived. And when the joy of surfing is added to the equation, it makes life that much more sweet.
Following in the footsteps of the groundbreaking 2009 film, THE WOMEN AND THE WAVES; THE WOMEN AND THE WAVES 2 continues to explore the culture of surfing in relation to six surfers and their lives both in and out of the water.
This is filmmaker, Heather Hudson’s second film about women’s surfing.
Featuring: Demi Boelsterli, Kristy Murphy, Ashley Lloyd Thompson,
Jeannette Prince, Mary Bagalso & Isabelle Radis
With: Robin Janizeufski “Zeuf” Hesson & Richard “Frosty” Hesson
Testimonials
Heather Hudson is dedicated and passionate about documenting the unique lives and passions of diverse and talented surf women. The six women in this film celebrate life and the words “I can”. You’ll love their stories in this beautifully crafted film.
It is beautiful and gives all of us a wonderful view of some lovely lady surfers of today! What a treat. Photography is better than ever.
The surfing community has too few opportunities to get together and celebrate the joy we share out among the waves. Your movie is about the bigger picture and Zeuf’s spirit is bigger than life. Thanks to you most of my new surfing mentors are women.
I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to see your film here in Santa Cruz. It is so beautiful. I came away with a deep sense, for the first time, that I am not alone in my surfing life!
